These terms govern your use of US Section 232 Tariff Stack Checker (https://section-232.shipcostlab.com), a free informational decision-support tool operated by José Manuel Volante González (contact: microtools.contact@gmail.com).

1. Nature of the service

The site is provided free of charge, as-is, for informational use. There are no user accounts, no registration, no subscriptions and no paid features. All computation runs in your browser; the inputs you enter are never transmitted to our servers.

2. Not customs, tax or legal advice

The layer-by-layer duty figures shown by this tool — base HTS rate, Section 232, Section 301, IEEPA reciprocal and border layers, and the autos cap — are orientative readings of public US tariff instruments (Section 232 proclamations, EO 14257 and related IEEPA orders, USTR Section 301 lists, the CBP HTSUS file) against the shipment facts you enter. They are not a customs-broker classification, not tax advice and not legal advice. Always verify each layer against the live CBP HTSUS file and the cited proclamation or executive order — and confirm with a licensed customs broker — before filing an entry summary. The importer of record carries entry-summary liability.

3. Data sources and accuracy

The rules dataset carries a version identifier and a last-verified date, both shown in the tool. US tariff measures change quickly — rates, scope and stacking orders have been amended multiple times since 2025. We update on a best-effort basis and make no warranty that the dataset reflects the law on your entry date.

4. Our content

Site content is owned by the operator unless otherwise attributed. You may quote short excerpts with attribution and a link to the source page.

5. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no liability for losses arising from decisions taken on the basis of the tool's output, including duties, penalties, interest or liquidated damages assessed by CBP.

6. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
